Mildred I. ‘Millie’ Neer, 99, passed away Wednesday morning, Nov. 12, 2014, at the Lake Placid Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on June 20, 1915, in Kosciusko County to William A. Schooley and Viola Fay (Fawley) Schooley. She married Fred ‘Porky’ Neer on May 10, 1957.

She moved to Lake Placid 27 years ago from Warsaw. Mildred was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church, Lake Placid; American Legion Post #49; past president of American Legion Auxiliary; enjoyed entertaining her friends, playing a good game of cards and loved spending time with both her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters: Mary Grubbs, Lake Placid, Fla.; Bonnie Cleveland, Lake Placid; son: Norman (Brenda) Grubbs, Lake Placid; step-daughter: Carol Bidic, Warsaw; step-son: Danny Neer, Warsaw; daughter-in-law: Jane Grubbs, Warsaw; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 34 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter: Barbara Hyde; three sons: Ronnie Grubbs; Billy Grubbs; Don Grubbs; grandson: two sisters: Clara Parker; Fern Reichard. 

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan St., Warsaw. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22. Associate Pastor Jamy Gregory, Warsaw Community Church, Warsaw. Burial will be in Harrison Center Cemetery, Etna Green.
