Floyd Gene Reffitt, 78, of Warsaw, passed away at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, in Warsaw Meadows Care Center, Warsaw.
He was born on July 4, 1936, to Dan and Martha (Marsillet) Reffitt in Floyd County, Ky. He was united in married to Anna Belle Reffitt on Sept. 17, 1955, who preceded him in death.
Floyd was the youngest boy of 13 children. He loved having his family around him. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He retired from Zimmer in 1997.
He is survived by his three children: William ‘Danny’ (Roxana) Reffitt, Warsaw; Lydia Sue (Dale) Manns, Warsaw; Cathy (Kris) Rapholtz, Akron; two grandchildren: April (Darin) Tudor, Pierceton; Trina (Robert) Springer, Warsaw; one great-grandchild; Joseph Springer; also a sister: Josephine Yates, Warsaw.
He is preceded in death by two children: Diana Beavers and Floyd Gene Reffitt Jr.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel with Pastors William Whitaker and Terry Bradford officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
