Loretta Hawn, 85, of Cromwell, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014, at Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.

She was born July 11, 1929, to Grace (Daniels) Hawkins in Middletown, Ohio. On April 17, 1948, she married Arthur ‘Bud’ Hawn in Columbia City.

She had worked for Essex Wire and Cromwell School. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters: Peggy Hawn and Lorenda (Ernest) Waggoner; one son: Robert ‘Spank’ (Cara) Hawn, Cromwell; six grandchildren: Carrie Trim, Loretta Gates and Cody (Mandi) Hawn all of Cromwell; Spencer Hawn, Avilla; Rachel Renea Waggoner, Cromwell; Michael Waggoner, Cromwell; two great-grandchildren: Trevor (Kelly Curtis) Sexton, Ligonier; Rachel Morgan Trim, Cromwell; one great-great-granchild: Jase Michael Sexton; three step-grandchildren: Jessica (Jory) Baugher, Matthew (Lindy) Jones, Casey Jones; one step great-granddaughter: Eloise Jones; one sister: Lucille Moser.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister and a brother.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at Yeager Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at the funeral home with Celebrant Larry Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell.
