Sean M. Anderson, 45, of Cromwell, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014, at his home.
He was born on April 6, 1969, in Fort Wayne, to Joseph C. ‘Joe’ and Kathleen ‘Kathi’ (Pugh) Anderson. He was a lifetime area resident and graduated in 1987 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse. He also graduated from Vincennes University with a degree in criminal justice and from ITT Technical Institute in Fort Wayne with a degree in computer automation. On July 9, 2005, in Syracuse, he was married to Debra K. ‘Deb’ (Bjella) Heck. She survives.
He was employed at Elkhart County Gravel, Inc. in New Paris for the past year as a truck driver and formerly worked for Don’s Excavating in Syracuse and Northern Indiana Public Service Co. (NIPSCO).
He was a member of the Church of God in Syracuse and the Radio Club.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters: Morgan Anderson and Taylor Heck, both at home; mother and stepfather: Kathi and Donald Robinson, Syracuse; father: Joe Anderson, Syracuse; brother: Christopher Anderson, Eustis, Fla.; sister: Monica Wesseler, Goshen; and his beagle: Sadie.
He was preceded in death by his stepmother: Cynthia Anderson.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13, at the funeral home with Pastor Stan Owen of the church officiating. Burial will follow in the Syracuse Cemetery with military rites by the Syracuse American Legion Post 223.
