Walter Ruegner (216x350)Walter E. Ruegner, 61, Warsaw, passed away at 9:15 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, in his residence.

He was born on April 26, 1953, in Grand Rapids, Mich., to William and Martha (Stinebrenner) Ruegner.

On Jan. 11, 1975 in Akron, he was united in marriage to Sheryl L. Lytle, who survives. He has been a lifetime residence ok Kosciusko County.

He worked for United Telephone Service (Sprint) as an Engineer retiring 10 years ago. He also was employed by Lowe’s Home Improvement as a salesman selling appliances. He was a member of Warsaw Church of God. Walter enjoyed the outdoors, hiking and Geocaching (outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices).

He is survived by his wife: Sheryl Ruegner, Warsaw; a son: Shawn Ruegner, Leesburg; a daughter: Ceridwen Ruegner, Michigan City; and a sister: Barb (Steve) Graf, Grand Rapids.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Viewing will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral chapel with Pastor Jerry Yoder officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

The family is requesting that the memorial contributions be made to the Warsaw Church of God 1059 Rozella Rd., Warsaw, IN 46580.
