Glant, GloriaGloria G. Glant, 87, of Winona Lake, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 6.

She was born on July 1, 1927, in La Habra, California to Manuel Corona and Adelaide (Carbjal) Corona. In 1945, she graduated from Fullerton High School in Fullerton, Calif. She married Chester H. Glant, Jr. on Sept. 16, 1945, Fullerton.

Gloria was a homemaker and nursing aid at Prairie View Nursing Home. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, enjoyed traveling, was an avid walker. She loved feeding the birds and squirrels.

She is survived by a daughter: Mary Ann (Paul) Rice, Winona Lake; a son: James Andrew (Edie) Glant, Claypool, Ind., two grandsons: Christopher DeSanto, Warsaw, Ind., and James Allen Price, Rochester, Ind.; two great granddaughters: Marissa DeSanto, Warsaw, and Harley Price, Salem, Ore.; a brother:  Armond Corona, Plancnpia, Calif; and a sister: Marty Morgan, Hemmitt, Calif.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband: Chester H. Glant, Jr. and two sisters: Rosemary Corona and Dolly Lashaway.

There is no visitation. A graveside service is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, 11 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, Father Phil DeVolder, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw. Internment will be at Oakwood Cemetery.

A charity of choice or simple acts of kindness may be done for others in Gloria Glant’s memory.
