Rose RappRose Ruth Rapp, 94, of Mulberry, formerly of Syracuse (Lake Papakeechie), passed away 2:14 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, at St. Elizabeth East Hospital, Lafayette.

She was born Feb. 7, 1920, in New Paris to Andrew and Louise (Steiglitz) Rapp.

Rose worked approximately 40 years as a spot welder for Anderson-Bolling Manufacturing and its predecessor Barler Metals and served a term as union president.  She was a member of the Wawasee Community Bible Church and a long-time member of the Papakeechie Lake Association.

She is survived by sisters: Lucille Smith, Goshen; Esther (John) Houston, Elkhart; brother: George (Rosemary) Rapp, Sacramento, Calif.; loving nieces and nephews: Dianne (Wayne) Fincher and Judge Kathy Smith, both of Frankfort; Rick Rapp, Milford; Cindy (Doyle) Kolberg, Syracuse; Jeanette (Fred) Silva and Doug (Lalania) Rapp, both of Calif.; Kim (Dale) Brown, Elkhart; and sister-in-law: Norma Rapp, Milford.

Preceding her in death are her parents, sister, Mildred Rapp, brothers, Floyd, Elmer and Harry Rapp and a niece, Linda Rapp.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Mildred Rapp; brothers: Floyd, Elmer and Harry Rapp; and a niece: Linda Rapp.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen, where the service will follow at 1 p.m.  Pastor Josh Wieland will officiate and burial will be in Milford Cemetery.
