OI1886225144_KinseyDorothyL001Dorothy Lucille Kinsey, 97, of Tippecanoe, passed away at 10:52 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014, at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, following a brief illness.

She was born on Nov. 4, 1916 in Sevastopol, Indiana to Alva and Osa (Blue) Swihart and had lived in the Tippecanoe community most of her life. In 1942, she married Harry D. Kinsey. He preceded her in death.

Dorothy was a punch press operator for Da-Lite Screen in Warsaw, where she had worked for over 25 years, retiring in 1980. She is a member of the Riverview Community Church, Tippecanoe.

Dorothy is survived by her sons: Gary L. (Nancy) Kinsey, Tippecanoe; Dennis E. (Darla) Kinsey, Tippecanoe; five grandchildren: Jeffery (Trisha) Kinsey, Etna Green; Gregory (Paula) Kinsey, Bourbon; Dennis (Amy) Kinsey Jr., Florida; Daniel Kinsey, Tippecanoe; Dawne Kinsey, Tippecanoe; 13 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters: Loretta Rhoades and Helen Shenefield-Clark; and brothers: Chauncy Swihart, Gordon Swihart, Howard Swihart, Kenny Swihart and Jake Jefferies.

Graveside Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Tippecanoe Cemetery with Reverend Rod Ruberg of the Riverview Community Church. Burial will follow the graveside service at the Tippecanoe Cemetery, Tippecanoe. Arrangements have been entrusted to Earl-Grossman Funeral Home.
