Rev. Floyd L. Wynn, 90, North Manchester, passed away at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014, at the Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.

He was born June 10, 1924, in Lamar, Mo., to Bert Thomas and Viola (Brown) Wynn, both deceased. He married Edna M. Billingsley on Dec. 24, 1948. She preceded him in death.

He was a Presbyterian minister for 48 years serving in Iowa, Minnesota and Indiana. He was a WWII combat veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater. He attended the Peabody Chapel, North Manchester.

 

He is survived by two sons: Gaylen B (Penny) Wynn, Granger; Grant O. Wynn, Johannesburg, South Africa; three brothers: Clyde E. Wynn, Fort Collins, Co.; James M. Wynn and Clarence J. Wynn, both of San Francisco, Calif.; three sisters: Flossie M. Pound, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Elva J. Frisby, Texas; and Mary Williams, Eagle Point, Texas; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by six brothers.

There will be no calling hours. Memorial services will be at a later date in Missouri.
