They’ve scrutinized Stonehenge, tutored Rochester third-grade readers, sunbathed (and studied) on the campus Mall, measured smallmouth bass in the Eel River, competed in NCAA championships, met their soul mates, studied and learned.

At its 125th commencement on Sunday, May 18, Manchester University will award those students 262 bachelor’s degrees and six master’s degrees in athletic training or education. The students’ majors reflect the breadth of an MU degree, from accounting and finance to psychology, education, pre-pharmacy and sport management.

The public is welcome to the day of celebration. Baccalaureate services begin at 11 a.m. in Cordier Auditorium on the North Manchester campus. There, seven seniors will reflect on their Manchester experience and offer spiritual readings and the A Cappella Choir will perform.

President Jo Young Switzer will deliver both the Baccalaureate and Commencement addresses, leading her final Graduation Day before her June 30 retirement. Commencement begins at 2:30 p.m. in the Physical Education and Recreation Center. Guests without tickets for reserved seating will want to arrive early; doors open at 1:30 p.m.
