Beatrice Jester Wampler, 94, North Manchester, died at 1:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014, in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.

She was born Jan. 2, 1920, in Huntington County, to Walter and Flora (Rupley) Reckard.  On Feb. 23, 1940, she married Cecil Jester. He preceded her in death. She then married Ernest Wampler Jr. on March 21, 1992. He preceded her in death.

She was a self-employed beautician for 35 years in her home. Bea was a member of Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester.

She is survived by two sons: Robert (Barbara) Jester, North Manchester; Kevin (Janine) Jester, Beachwood, N.J.; three daughters: Gloria (Ken) Peters, Grabill; Charlene (Keith) Biehl, Clearmont, N.J.; Glenda (Rex) Boyer, Huntington County, Ind.; three step-sons: Steve Wampler, Joplin, Mo.; David Wampler, North Manchester; Jim Wampler, Fort Wayne; two step-daughters: Carolyn Stine, Silver Lake; Gwen (William) Huddleston, North Manchester; one brother: Dean Reckard, Huntington; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter; one son-in-law; one stepson; one brother; and one sister.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, at McKee Mortuary, 1401 SR 114 W., North Manchester. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, at the funeral home with Reverend Sue Babovec and Pastor J. P. Freeman will officiate.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Servia.
