james craftJames Craft, 86 of Pearl St., Plymouth, Ind., died at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 16, 2014 at his daughter’s residence in Argos, Ind. He had been been ill for several months.

James was born on Oct. 20, 1927, in Breathitt County, Ky. to Clifton Craft and Meadia Hensley and had lived in the Argos community since 1951, coming from Kentucky.

On Oct. 16, 1973, in Clintwood, Va., he married Marcelle L. (Hartman) Craft.
James worked at Eley’s Saw Mill in Argos as an Off Bearer.

He is survived by his wife: Marcelle Craft, Plymouth; daughter: Brenda Craft, Argos; son: Danny Craft, Argos; step-son: Richard (Vickie) Flory, Plymouth; step-daughters: Letha Taber, Broken Arrow, Okla.; Joan Flory, Argos, and Kay Metsker, Plymouth;
five grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; sisters: Alma Hensley, Plymouth, and Faye (Lennard) Montgomery, Tifton, Ohio; brother: Grover (Janice) Craft, Tippecanoe, Ind.

James was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Ruth Miller; four half brothers and three half sisters.

Friends may visit with the family on Monday, Oct. 20, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Church of Jesus Christ, 15676 Michigan Rd., Argos, Indiana. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. October 20, 2014 at the church. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos.
