AKRON – One bad inning proved costly to the Tippecanoe Valley softball team Wednesday.

A strong North Miami team took advantage in posting an 11-3 win over the host Vikings in Three Rivers Conference play.

North Miami, now 16-1, plated eight runs in the fifth inning to break the game open.

Valley, which falls to 7-8, committed five errors in the loss.

Robyn Dunnuck led Valley with two hits and an RBI.

Lauren Early also had an RBI for the host Vikings.

Valley plays at Manchester on Monday.
