Stacey Ann Trick, 51, of North Manchester, Ind., passed away at 7:35 p.m., Monday, Oct. 13, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.
She was born May 11, 1963, in Detroit, Mich., to Dr. John and Irene (Moutsatson) Milionis. Stacey was a 1981 graduate of Douglas MacArthur High School in Saginaw, Mich., and a 1985 graduate of the University of Michigan as a bio-medical engineer. She married Kyle Trick, whom she met on a blind date, in Fort Wayne, Indiana on May 24, 1997.
Upon graduating from the University of Michigan, she moved to Los Angeles where she was employed by Richards Medical Company. In 1990, Stacey moved to Warsaw, and took a job with DePuy Orthopedics, specializing in product development, marketing and quality systems. Stacey was the president and founding board member of Wise, INC (We Inspire Support Empower), a non-profit organization dedicated to the professional career interests of women. She held several patents and even created devices for Elizabeth Taylor. Those who knew her witnessed her love of people, her big heart, her joviality, her kindness, her thoughtfulness, her intelligence, her leadership and her energetic celebration of life. She left a legacy…the gift of herself. She touched lives during her lifetime, while planting seeds for many generations to come. Stacey is well known in the community for her love of cooking and passion for gardening. It only took one glance at her front yard to notice the beauty of her “green thumb.”
For Remy and Spence, their mom will forever be remembered by her example of “be the best person you can possibly be.” Megan has been touched most by her mother’s devotion to her boys and unconditional love for her.
She is survived by her husband; three children: Megan (Aaron) Metzger, Remington Trick and Spence Trick, all of North Manchester; father; stepmother: Mary Milionis, Sun Lakes, Ariz.; mother; brother: William Kelly Milionis, Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters: Jamey Wozniak, Flower Mound, Texas; Tracey Milionis, Indianapolis; her aunt and uncle: Joan and Tom Billingsley, Sanford, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
