Triton Softball Wins Two More

images copyBOURBON – The Triton softball team capped off a strong showing this week with a pair of wins Saturday.

The host Trojans topped NorthWood 8-4.

Mallorie Jennings, who went over 600 strikeouts for her outstanding prep pitching career earlier in the week, fired a four-hitter for the Trojans. She struck out seven and walked two and also had a pair of hits for the winners.

Hannah Jennings went 2-4 and clubbed a homer for Triton. Krystal Sellers had a double for the Trojans.

Triton then defeated Elkhart Christian Academy 16-3. The Trojans scored 12 runs in the first three innings.

Lexee Lemler had a big game at the dish with two hits, including a triple, and three RBI.

Krystal Sellers had two hits and two RBI and Zoee Stephan had two hits with a triple. Hannah Jennings had three hits for the winners.

Brycelyn Garbison notched the pitching win for Triton.

Triton went 5-1 on the week and scored a total of 78 runs.

Triton will host New Prairie Monday and entertain Glenn on Tuesday in conference games.
