Peggy Walters, treasurer at Akron Elementary School, was recently honored by the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation’s Board of School Trustees as a recipient of the TVSC Pillar Award for Outstanding Support Staff.

The Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation has many wonderful individuals among its classified staff who work very hard and receive little recognition.

This is Mrs. Walters’ 29^th year at Akron Elementary School where she served for 10 years as an instructional assistant and is in her 19th year as treasurer.

She and her husband, Mike, reside near Athens. They are the parents of Kelly Vanlaningham and Troy Walters and have been blessed with six grandchildren.
