OI381245029_Headshot1Lula M. Scholle, 89, of North Webster, Ind., passed away at 4:05 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, at Parkview Whitley Hospital in Columbia City, Ind.

She was born on May 13, 1925, in Lafayette, to Manfred L. and Minnie (Reynolds) Gipson. She graduated from Brookston High School in Brookston, and was married on June 23, 1944, to Wilbur D. ‘Bill’ Scholle. He preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker and former office manager and financial secretary at a Mental Health Center in Fort Wayne. She lived in Indiana until she and her husband moved to Bradenton/Sarasota, Fla., in 1982 from Warsaw. She then returned to North Webster area in 2002. She was a member of the First Covenant Church in Bradenton, FL & attended North Webster United Methodist Church.

She is survived by daughter: Kama (Tim) Strombeck, North Webster; step-granddaughter: Nikki (Randy) Trusty, Waverly, Ohio; two step great-grandchildren;
eight nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; step-grandson: Kyle Smith; and brother: Robert Gipson.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500N, North Webster, with Pastor Brad Cox of the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel officiating. A celebration of life fellowship time will follow from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the American Legion Post 253, 756 S. SR 13, North Webster.
