Dorla Jane Miller, 76, of Indianapolis, Ind., and formally of Etna Green, Ind., and Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 8:40 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, in St. Vincent’s Hospital, Indianapolis, Ind.
She was born on Dec. 6, 1937, in Etna Green, Ind., to Paul M. and Eva Marie (Miller) Waggoner. Dorla was a graduate of Etna Green High School. She also graduated from Elkhart University and Ivy Tech, receiving her degrees in lab technology and associate degree in accounting.
She attended Eagle Creek Grace Brethren Church and when she lived in Warsaw she attended Warsaw Community Church. She loved crafts of all kinds and reading. She also loved her pets: Molly the cat; and her dogs: Barney and Noah. She was retired.
She is survived by four children: Diane Marie (Kevin) Miller Ryan, Indianapolis; Pamela (Miller) Vetor, Temple, Texas; James Russell (Karen) Miller, Fort Wayne, Ind.; David Paul (Penny) Miller, Warsaw; two brothers: Donald Marion Waggoner, Etna Green; Larry Paul (Pearl) Waggoner, North East, Md.; four grandchildren: Jason Vetor, Temple, Texas; J.D. Miller, Warsaw; Aly Miller, Warsaw; and Autumn Miller, Fort Wayne; two step-grandchildren: Terri Neumann and Amber Afarion, both of Fort Wayne; two great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother: Ronald Edwin Waggoner; and her sister: Judith Waggoner.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Etna Green Cemetery, Etna Green, Ind.
