The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office has received information that Marshall County residents have been contacted by an agency claiming to be collecting funds for the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.

The callers claim they are raising funds to donate Teddy Bears to local police, including the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department. The sheriff’s department said they have not authorized anyone to collect money on its behalf.

If you are contacted by someone soliciting funds, do not provide them any information until you can confirm that they are legitimate. If you have any questions, contact the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office at 574-936-3187.
