WARSAW – Warsaw senior Brandon Shipp’s play on the baseball field the past two seasons has been stellar, and the crafty middle infielder has set his sights on Wabash College this coming Fall, as he announced his intentions to play baseball for the Little Giants and coach Cory Stevens.

Shipp, who will earn his third varsity letter with Tiger Baseball this spring, has been a steady force for the Warsaw Tiger attack, among the team leaders in hitting both this season and last season.

The middle infielder also earned some valuable experiences in the off-season, having played with the Michiana Scrappers for the past four summers, including an appearance in last year’s World Series championship game.

While Shipp has been making his presence known with opposing pitchers while at the plate and on the basepaths, he has made a solid statement in the classroom and in the community.  Intending to major in psychology and Spanish with a goal to pursue a career with the FBI, Shipp has served with numerous community-service based events with groups such as the Octagon Club.  Shipp’s efforts with his coursework has also been tremendous as he was recognized as a Tiger Athletics Scholar Athlete while enrolled in multiple honors and advanced level courses.

The Little Giants compete in the North Coast Athletic Conference in NCAA Division III play.
