images-7FORT WAYNE – The Warsaw girls tennis team dropped a 5-0 final at Fort Wayne Carroll Monday.

Rachel Alexander lost 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles for the Tigers.

Anna Hall dropped a 6-1, 6-0 final at No. 2 singles and Camille Kerlin suffered a 6-0, 6-2 loss at No. 3 singles for Warsaw in the non-conference match.

The duo of Sarah Boyle and Jacqueline Sasso lost 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles for Warsaw. The team of Abbi Baum and Athena Schlitt dropped a 6-1, 7-5 decision at No. 2 doubles.

Warsaw, which has lost its last four matches since defeating Columbia City in the season opener, falls to 1-4 on the season.

Carroll won the junior varsity competition by a 9-4 final.

Winning for the Tigers in JV action were Mattie Doran and Shelby Roberts in singles play. Also victorious for the JV team were the doubles teams of Rosie Fleming and Jenn Katris and Chelsey Farling and Madison Mutchler.

Warsaw travels to Elkhart Memorial today for a Northern Lakes Conference match at 5 p.m. The Tigers then host Wawasee Thursday in NLC action and entertain Fort Wayne Concordia on Friday.
