image001LeVara Mae Biddinger, 91, of Warsaw, passed away at her residence at Mason Health and Rehabilitation of Warsaw at 1:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2014.

She was born on April 18, 1923 in New Castle, to Wilbur Smith and Esther (Makemus) Smith. She was a 1941 high school graduate in New Castle, Ind. On Aug. 13, 1972, she was married to Robert Biddinger who passed away March 2, 1989.

She was a 1941 high school graduate in New Castle.  She came to Warsaw in the early 40s, and she started working at Western Union Telegram in Warsaw in 1955 working there until 1971. In 1989 she started with Zale Drugs of Warsaw as a sales clerk until her retirement.

She leaves behind three grandchildren: David (Tracy) Owens, Pierceton; Julie (Jason) Pogue, Warsaw; Susan (Cesar) Chacon, Yorkville, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter: Susan Owens; son-in-law: Lowell Owens; one brother and two sisters.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.  Her funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, and will be officiated by Pastor Gary Boschain. A graveside service will take place at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
