thompsonFloyd Eugene Thompson, 81, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 12:55 p.m., Sept. 26, 2014, in the care of his family and hospice.

He was born in Huntsville Ala., to Elma and Beatrice Hastings Thompson on Jan. 18, 1933. On Sept. 26, 1951, he married his wife of 63 years, Sarah Wynell ( Kelsoe) Thompson, who survives.

Floyd was a self-employed businessman for many years building grain structures, and then retiring as a general contractor after building many homes in Kosciusko County. Floyd will be remembered as a good man who trusted the Lord by the family and friends that loved him.

He is survived by three children: Rick and (Shelia) Thompson, Warsaw; Vicky and (Danny) Adkins, Ala.; Terry and (Deb) Thompson, Chapman Lake, Ind.; 10 grandchildren: Mary, Chris, Matt, Sarah, Joe, John, Jill, Jamie, Jennifer, Andrea; and 13 great- grandchildren.

In honoring the family’s wishes, there will be a Memorial Dinner beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at Living Hope Ministries, 595 E 350 N., Warsaw.
