Shari L. Church, 51, of Pierceton, Ind., passed away unexpectedly at 3:40 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014, in her home.

Shari was born April 17, 1963, in Wabash, Ind., to Michael Eugene and Judy Ann (Cordill) Goble. She moved from Huntington, Ind., to Kosciusko County, Ind. On April 8, 1982, she and Thomas E. Church were married in Warsaw, Ind.

In addition to working for Penguin Point, Shari was a paper carrier for The South Bend Tribune and The Journal Gazette. She was an excellent board game competitor who also enjoyed playing Farmville and Castleville on Facebook. She enjoyed rescuing animals and watching wildlife in nature. When she was able, she enjoyed cooking, listening to country music, fishing and riding her bicycle. Shari was very organized. She took care of others before herself and she loved reading her Bible.

She is survived by her husband: Tom, of Pierceton; daughter: Tiffany Church, Columbia City, Ind.; stepson: Joshua Church, Columbia City; stepdaughter: Leisa (Craig) Burgin, Lebanon, Ind.; mother: Judy Stouder, Wesley Chapel, Fla.; four grandchildren: Beau Burgin, Marabeth Burgin, Brayden Church and Rylee Church.

She was preceded in death by her father and her sister: Tammy Musgrove.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Titus Funeral Home in Warsaw. Funeral services celebrating the life of Shari L. Church will take place at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, in the funeral home. Burial will take place in South Whitley Cemetery, South Whitley, Ind., at a later date.
