Norma Dunlap, 84, of Ligonier, Ind., passed away on Sept. 29, 2014, at Courtyard Healthcare Center in Goshen, Ind.
She was born on July 25, 1930 to Darlo and Donna Bell Mehl in LaGrange County, Ind. On August 30, 1947, she married Richard Dunlap in Goshen, Ind. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2002.
Norma was a lifetime area resident and enjoyed taking pictures, sewing for her family, and tending to her flower garden. She had worked for Essex wire and retired after 20 years. Norma also worked for NISCO for eight. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Ligonier.
She is survived by five children: Dennis (Glenda) Dunlap, Bill (Diann) Dunlap both of Goshen, Sue (Dale) Friskney of Albion, Donna (Rick) Huff of Lakeville, Jess ( Bev) Dunlap of Ligonier; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; two sisters: Darlene Sprunger of Texas and Linda Johnson of LaGrange.
She was preceded in death by her husand, parents, a daughter and son-in-law: Jane and Kerry Mazelin; one grandson: Dennis Dunlap; one granddaughter: Amanda Huff.
There will be a funeral service held in Mrs. Dunlap’s honor on Saturday October 4, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Yeager Funeral Home,1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767 with Pastor John Lutton officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Ligonier.
There will be a time of visitation from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are to The Church of the Nazarene building fund.
