Greta E. (Cobb) Rhodes, 90, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 3:55 pm, Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at Millers Merry Manor, Warsaw.

She was born in Wollaston, Mass., to Walter and Greta (Elder) Cobb on Dec. 12, 1923. She was a resident of Kosciusko since 2003. On Nov. 24, 1956, she married her husband, Donald F. Rhodes. He preceded her in death.

Greta proudly served her country in the Marine Corps Reserves from 1954-1958. She was a homemaker and a member of the Order of the eastern Star in Wollaston.

She is survived by two sons: Donald Rhodes, Las Cruces, N.M.; David (Sheila) Rhodes, Germantown, Md; seven grandchildren: Natalie Rhodes, Austin, Texas; Jennifer (Mike) Penrose, New Paris, Ind.; Christy (Jan) Geyer, Nappanee, Ind.; Lauren Corwin, Goshen, Ind.; Andrew Rhodes, Warsaw; Alicia Marsh, Germantown; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday Oct. 1, at the McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Pastor Jeff Pfeifer will be officiating the services. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw with Military Honors by the Military Funeral Honor Guard and the Warsaw American Legion Post #49 and V.F.W. Post #1126.
