CULVER – The Tippecanoe Valley softball team lit up the scoreboard Tuesday night.
The visiting Vikings piled up 25 runs in topping host Culver Academies 25-10 in five innings.
Valley had 16 hits in the win to go with 10 walks, while the hosts committed seven errors.
The Vikings, who improve to 4-3, scored 12 runs in the second inning of the rout.
Kassidy Shepherd led the hit parade for the winners with two hits, including a triple, to go with six RBI.
Tenaya Shull had three hits with two doubles and two RBI and five runs scored. Kaitlyn Prater had three hits, two RBI and four runs scored, while Mia Mchaffery had two hits, two RBI and scored three runs and Mia Gunnels had two hits, two RBI and three runs scored.
Winning pitcher Katie Gunter had a triple and three RBI for Valley.
Valley plays at Fort Wayne Wayne Saturday.
