Helen M. Maxwell, 92, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 11 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014, in Mason Health Care and Rehabilitation, Warsaw.
She was born Aril 27, 1922, in Carroll County, Ind., to Samuel and Rose (Fife) Bechdolt. A former Camden, Ind., resident she resided in Warsaw, since 1968. She was united in marriage to Leonard Maxwell in March of 1939. He preceded her in death.
She worked on the family farm prior to moving to Warsaw and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Lower Deer Creek Church of the Brethren, Camden.
She is survived by her daughter: Karen (Mark) Swinger, Warsaw; grandchildren: Melanie (Mark) Vanlaningham, Mentone, Ind.; Bob Swinger, Warsaw; great-grandchildren Ben and Sam Vanlaningham and Emily (spouse Chad) Dennie survive.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, in Cree Funeral Home, 188 W. Main St. Camden. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, with Mark Vanlaningham officiating. Interment will be in Musselman Cemetery, Camden. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is entrusted with arrangements.
