Woodward E. Weade, 83, of Kimmell, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014, in Fort Wayne.

He was born on April 14, 1931, in Kimmell, to Hobart M. and Celia M. (Knapp) Weade. He married Luella Butler on Oct. 2, 1953, in Kimmell.

He honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was employed with Johnson Controls in Goshen, for 38 years. He was a grain and hog farmer in Noble County. He was a member various antique tractor pulling clubs in the area.

Weade is survived by his wife, Luella, of Kimmell, a son, Dale Weade, of Kimmell and a daughter, Teresa Weade, of Ligonier. Also surviving is one granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by a son, Rex Weade, and a brother and two sisters.

A funeral service in his honor will be at 11 a.m. Friday Sept. 26, at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier. Burial will be at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, IN.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday September 25, 2014 from 2-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
