Robert CondonRobert C. Condon, 73, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, at his home in Williamsburg, Va.

He was born Feb. 11, 1941, in Morris, Ill., to Edith C. and Frank E. Condon.

Condon was actively involved in Boy Scouts, attaining the premier rank of Eagle Scout and becoming a member of the Order of the Arrow. He graduated magna cum laude from Denison University in 1963. In 1966, he graduated with a JD degree from the University of Illinois, College of Law. He served from 1967 to 1972 in the US Air Force as a JAG officer and as a military judge. From 1972 to 1987 he was in private law practice in Joliet and New Lenox, Illinois. From 1987 until 1999 he worked for Northern Trust Bank, first as Division Head in the Trust Department in Chicago, and then as the Managing Director of the San Francisco office of Northern Trust of California.

From 1999 until 2006, he was head of the Trust and Investment Department of Lake City Bank, Warsaw.

Robert and Carolyn retired to Williamsburg, Va., in 2007.

Among his numerous volunteer work was chairman of the Kosciusko County Community Founfation, Raphael House in San Francisco, Calif., chairman of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Northern California, elder at Williamsburg Presbyterian Church and mentor at The Mason School of Business at The College of William and Mary (Mentor).

Survivors include his, Carolyn T. Condon; his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Bryan Phelps of Weybridge, Vt.; his son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Cristal Condon of San Antonio, Texas; and six grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at Williamsburg Presbyterian Church at 3 p.m. Oct. 25.
