Brinda F. Rowe, age 64, of Columbia City, Ind. passed away at 9:36 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born on March 14, 1950 in Sayersville, Ky., she was the daughter of Nollin and Helen (Rowe) Collins.
She graduated from Union City High School, Marshall, Mich., with the Class of 1968. On July 24, 1970 she married James E. “Jim” Rowe in Sherwood, Mich. She worked at Essex and Autoliv.
She was a member of Victory Rock Church, Warsaw. Rowe was a devoted faithful member of her church where she was a Sunday School teacher. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Holly (Gregg) Porter and Jamee (Rodney) Borton of Columbia City; James (Holly Ann) Rowe, Jr. of Andrews; John Rowe of Columbia City; Krystlinn (David) Dean of Republic, Mo., Nicole (Doug) Whiting of Peoria, Ariz; 11 grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband James Rowe, Sr. her birth father, Nollin Collins and parents, Dudley and Helen Rowe, Sr.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Victory Rock Church, 6134 S 500 E, Warsaw.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 21,at the church with Pastor Charles Trout officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Annex Cemetery, Columbia City.
