Marian ‘Mally’ M. Shellabarger, 93, of Decatur, Ill., and formerly of Warsaw, Ind., passed away Sept. 15, 2014, at the Lund Family Hospice Home, Gilbert, Ariz.
She was born in Decatur to George and Hazel Moeller. In 1942, in Denver, Colo., she married Joseph Shellabarger. He preceded her in death.
She graduated from Decatur High School and attended Millikin University and the University of Illinois, where she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She spent most of her life in Warsaw, where she was active in Tri Kappa, Mothers Study Club, the Salvation Army and the Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by a daughter: Carole (Randy) Lowe, Gold Canyon, Ariz.; a daughter-in-law: Susan Shellabarger, Wake Forest, N.C.; and four grandchildren: John Shellabarger, Raleigh, N.C.; David (Tricia) Lowe, Centennial, Colo.; Doug (Jenny) Shellabarger, High Point, N.C.; Elizabeth Lowe, Phoenix, Ariz.; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son: J. Spencer Shellabarger; and a great-grandson: Cameren Isaiah McIvor.
Private services will be held at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw.
