ROCHESTER – Miranda Terrill turned in a record-setting performance to lead the Whitko girls track team to a win at Rochester Thursday night.
Terrill set a school record in winning the high jump as the Wildcats topped the hosts 86-45 in a Three Rivers Conference meet.
Terrill’s first-place effort of 5-6 broke her own school standard of 5-3.
Terrill also placed first in the 400 with a top time of 1:10.0 and teamed with Brigit Nemitz, Taylor Zwick and Elaine Warner to win the 4 X 400 relay in a time of 4:43.5.
Warner also turned in a pair of individual first-place efforts. She won the 300 hurdles in a time of 53.39 and had the top performance in the long jump with a winning leap of 15-5.
The Wildcats also got winning efforts from Reghan Craig in the 110 hurdles (17.57), Abby Overmeyer in the 100 (13.13), Kaitlyn Reed in the 200 (28.23), Mady Overmeyer in the pole vault (6-6) and Zwick in the discus (90-10 1/2).
Whitko won the 4 X 800 relay as Michelle Kelsey, Nemitz, Maddy Cook and Courtney Edwards took first in 11:43.1. The Wildcats also placed first in the 4 X 100 relay with the team of Craig, Warner, Reed and Abby Overmeyer winning in a time of 53.6.
