Neil E. Tripp, 69, North Manchester, Ind., passed away at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014, in his residence.

He was born April 4, 1945 in Jackson, Mich., to Lawrence E. and Lorna M. (Rusch) Tripp.  He graduated from Mason High School, Mason, Mich., in 1963 and attended Michigan State University, East Lansing, Mich., for 3 years. He served in the US Navy in Vietnam. On Jan. 4, 1986, he married Kathy L. O’Brien. She preceded him in death.

Neil was employed with Wyeth Corporation, Mason, and transferred to American Home Products, Richmond, Va., retiring in 2007 after 36 years where he was a supervisor.  After retirement Neil pursued his passion for fishing when he moved to his dream home on a lake in North Manchester. He was a member of  VFW Post 7309, Mason.

He is survived by his mother; one daughter: Kelly K. (Keith) Barker, North Manchester; two sisters: Kathleen M. (Jordan) Odell, Eaton Rapids, Mich.; Rosanna L. (Christopher) Mouton, Mason; three grandchildren: Austin, Saebre’ and Katie Barker, both of North Manchester; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his best friend: Roger Pritzel, Ann Arbor, Mich.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at McKee Mortuary, 1401 SR 114  W., North Manchester, IN. Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, at McKee Mortuary, 1401 SR 114 W., North Manchester. Chaplain Forrest Tabor will officiate.
