Emergency personnel responded to an accident located at U.S. 30 and CR 150 West, Warsaw, at approximately 1:18 p.m. Monday, April 7, involving a semi and a Volkswagen.

According to an accident report filed by Warsaw Police department, both Danielle L. Biggs, 43, of Warsaw and semi-driver Robert N. Vance, 56, of Mansfield, Ohio, were traveling westbound on US 30 when the traffic light turned yellow at the CR 150 West intersection. Biggs began to slow down however Vance, who was behind her could not get stopped in time, and though he attempted to swerve around her, rear-ended her vehicle.

Biggs’ vehicle was pushed into the eastbound lane after the initial impact and traffic at Silveus Crossing was shut down to one lane in both directions.

Vance declined medical treatment at the scene and Biggs was checked out by EMS and then medically sign off, declining medical treatment. Both drivers stated they were unharmed. Damages are estimated up to $10,000.
