Military Official Has Felony Charges Dismissed
Felony charges against a high-ranking Army official filed in Kosciusko County over a year ago have been dismissed.
Sgt. Major Eric Davis, 41, was arrested in January 2013 on two felonies including intimidation and domestic battery and a third count of misdemeanor domestic battery. At that time, Warsaw Police Chief Scott Whitaker said the charges stemmed from a Christmas Eve 2012 dispute that involved Davis allegedly choking his ex-wife to the point of her nearly losing consciousness and making threats to kill her. Davis, who is currently stationed at Fort Campbell, Ky., has been cleared of all three charges and, according to court documents and information provided by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office, agreed to a deferral program on an B misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct. A deferral means Davis will also have the disorderly conduct charge dismissed after one year of no additional criminal conduct.
