Patricia L. ‘Pat’ Hite, 61, of 15690 11th Rd., Plymouth, Ind., passed away at 1:25 a.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Pat was born on Sept. 12, 1952, in Plymouth, to Robert and Elizabeth (Fortner) Nissen. Pat became the bride of Bruce W. Hite on Feb. 5, 1971. They had been married for over 40 years when Bruce preceded her in death.

Pat’s greatest joy was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, in Plymouth, for over 30 years. She trained employees for the patient registrar’s position and then would edit the forms. She was a member of the Pretty Lake Trinity United Methodist Church.

Pat is survived by her sons: Bruce (Delea) Hite, Plymouth; Mark (Kelly) Hite, Saint Augustine, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and her sister: Loretta (Kenneth) Barr, Plymouth.

Memorials may be given to The Center for Hospice Care, 112 South Center St., Plymouth, IN 46563.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison St., Plymouth. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at Van Gilder Funeral Home, with Pastor Tamara Boggs officiating. Burial will be in Burr Oak Cemetery, Burr Oak, Ind.
