Wawasee School Corporation and Kosciusko County Health Department will be offering a vaccination clinic for all 5th grade and 11th grade students to receive the required immunizations for the 2014-2015 school year.A Tdap (tetanus/pertussis) booster and a meningitis vaccination is required for all students entering 6th grade. A booster (second dose) of meningococcal conjugate vaccine is required for all students entering 12th grade.

Vaccinations will be available from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, at Wawasee High School.

Students who DO NOT have private insurance that covers vaccinations are eligible to receive vaccination at this clinic. An administration fee of $8 is charged. Students enrolled in Hoosier Healthwise will have the $8 fee waived.

In addition to the vaccination clinic the Kosciusko County Health Department will be conducting a emergency preparedness drill.
