Daisy Mae Hollar, 90, formerly of Etna Green, Ind., passed away at 7:10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, at Pilgrim Manor in Plymouth, Ind.

She was born June 16, 1924, in Bremen to Owen and Gladys S. (Albiehl) Stine. Daisy was a lifetime area resident. She married LaVern Hollar Oct. 16, 1942, in Marshall County, Ind. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Hollar was a homemaker. She enjoyed making rugs, crocheting, knitting and canning.

Daisy is survived by her sons: Gary (Catherine) Hollar, Bloomington, Ind.; Paul (Beth) Hollar, Warsaw, Ind.; grandchildren: Jim, Jonathan, Laura Hollar; great-granddaughter: Delaney Hollar; and a brother: Lowell (Mary Lou) Stine, Goshen, Ind.

She was preceded in death by sisters: Helen Matz and Luella Chrisman; and brothers: Owen Jr., Dale; and Otho Stine.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, at the funeral home.
