A Claypool man is behind bars this morning after undercover officers arrested him last night on various drug charges, near Beaver Dam Lake.

The Kosciusko County Drug Task Force, along officers from the Warsaw Drug Task Force and Mentone Police Department, converged on the location of 9569 S. 750 W., Claypool, after receiving an anonymous drug tip.

Officers arrested and preliminarily charged Shannon Mitchel Callahan, 30, Claypool with felony manufacturing methamphetamine after discovering numerous one-pot-method meth labs inside his residence. DTF officers have also charged Callahan with felony possession of methamphetamine after the subsequent investigation of the home.

Callahan is currently being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on a $10,000 bond. The Kosciusko County Drug Task Force was also assisted by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office.
