Jane Miller, 76, of Pierceton, Ind., passed away at 6:10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, in Parkview Oaks, Columbia City, Ind.

She was born Feb. 6, 1938, to Merl and Violet (Plew) Wolfe in Warsaw, Ind. She was a lifetime residence of Whitley and Kosciusko counties. She married Bub Miller on Sept. 12, 1955, in Warsaw.

Jane was a lifeguard on Center Lake, was in housekeeping at the Holiday Inn and she was also a homemaker. She attended Highway 13 Free United Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother with a heart of gold.

Jane is survived by her sons: Mark (Tammy) Miller, Pierceton, Ind.; and Richard Miller, Larwill, Ind.; a daughter: Sue Brookens, Pierceton; grandchildren: Amber Bromley, Claypool, Ind.; April Bayne and Ashley Ritchie, both of Warsaw; Seth Miller, Nappanee, Ind.; Sara Miller, Mentone, Ind.; Cheryl Matteson and Krystal Baldridge; and 29 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son; and a granddaughter: Tasha Milburn.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Aug. 19, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton. A funeral service will follow at noon Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor Ward Etsie Allen officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Larwill, Ind.
