Bonnie Lou (Adkins) Sexton, 71, of Pierceton, Ind., passed away at 10:22 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Ind.

On July 12, 1943, Bonnie was born in McDowell, Floyd County, Ky., to Cecil and Gladys “Pet” (Osborne) Adkins. She was united in marriage to Ronnie Sexton on July 11, 1960, in Martin, Ky., who survives.

Bonnie moved to Kosciusko County from Floyd County 50 years ago. She was a homemaker and was a member of First Baptist Church, Pierceton.

She is survived by her husband: Ronnie Sexton, Pierceton; four children: Donald (Janice) Sexton, Pierceton; Connie (Ronald) Sexton Ringle, Pierceton; Christina (Edward) Sexton Hartman, Manitowoc, Wisc.; and James Sexton, Pierceton; her mother: Gladys “Pet” (Osborne) Adkins, Langley, Ky.; four sisters: Jewel (Ernest) Adkins Shepherd, Wabash, Ind.; Barbara (Douglas) Adkins Hicks, Hueysville, Ky.; Betty Adkins Sexton, Pierceton; and Bertha (Roger) Adkins Duff, West Liberty, Ky.; one brother: Ronnie (Theresa) Adkins, Langley, Ky; 16 grandchildren and an abundance of great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel in Pierceton. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Frida, Aug. 8, in the funeral home with Pastor Mark Fishburn officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
