If you’ve read all your books at home during this long winter and need some new reading material, you won’t want to miss the Friends of the North Webster Public Library Book Sale Thursday, March 20, to Saturday, March 22.
You’ll find plenty of gently used books and movies to replenish your home library. This sale will include a nice selection of large print books, inspirational books, children’s books and board games in addition to many other kinds of books, movies and puzzles for all ages.
The sale will be held in the North Webster Community Center Banquet Hall from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. It’s also a great opportunity to stock up on gifts for Easter, birthdays and other special occasions, and you can’t beat these bargain prices. All proceeds will go to help the North Webster Community Public Library serve our community.
Writer’s Corner
Have you ever dreamed of winning the lottery? Put those dreams in writing and come to Writer’s Corner at 10 a.m. Monday, March 17, when we’ll be sharing our essays on “winning the lottery.” It promises to be a lot of fun as we share our thoughts and ideas.
Writer’s Corner meets the third Monday each month. You don’t have to be an accomplished writer to join in, just someone who likes to write or wants to learn how. We talk about expressing ideas in writing, and we don’t critique grammar or spelling.
READ Book Club
If you enjoy reading and talking about what you’ve read with others, READ Book Club is for you! This group also meets at 5:30 p.m. the third Monday each month. A specific book is selected each month for the group to read.
On Monday, March 17, we’ll be discussing Sarah’s Key by Tatiana de Rosnay. A wide variety of books are selected throughout the year, and it’s an enjoyable way to discover new books and authors.
Teen Time
The teens will be discovering new ways to decorate eggs during Teen Time at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 20. Who says you have to wait until Easter to decorate eggs? It’s fun any time of the year. The teens will have fun decorating them in lots of different ways and get to take home all the eggs they decorate. So if you’re in grades 6-12, think “outside the basket” and join us for egg decorating.
