Don Goble, 76, of Claypool, Ind., passed away at 2:10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.

On Sept. 11, 1937, he was born in Slick Rock, Ky., to James and Beulah Jane (Sexton) Goble. He was united in marriage to Goldie Stephens in 1964 in Claypool who survives.

Don worked as a plater’s helper for Warsaw Plating Works, retiring about 15 years ago.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling and spending time with friends.

He is survived by his wife: Goldie Goble, Claypool; his daughter: Donna Goble, Claypool; his son: Don Goble Jr. and his companion Staci Poe, Claypool; four grandchildren: Nicolette Shepherd, Ean Goble, Parker Goble and Paxton Goble; two sisters: Avo (Reverend Chad) Burkhart, Claypool; and Brrdell Morgan, Kendallville, Ind.; and one brother: Eddie Goble, Kendallville.

Don was preceded in death by two sisters: Artie Slone and Clarine Ilene Slone; and a brother: Delmon Goble.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Ind. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8, at the funeral home with Reverend Harry Crace and Reverend Luther Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake, Ind.
