2623208Doris Marie Fox, 79, of Niles, Mich., passed away Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, Ind.

She was born July 20, 1935, to Frank and Dorothy (Dicus) Winger in Mishawaka. Doris married Charles Fox on Nov. 4, 1952, in Silver Lake, Ind.; he survives.

Doris attended Madison Township High School where she met and eventually married her husband of 61 years. She loved her family dearly and cherished spending time with them.

She enjoyed puzzles and doing arts, crafts and tea parties with her grandchildren. She was an excellent cook, enjoyed spending time on the beach, and traveling the United States with her daughter, Pam. She also enjoyed shopping and an occasional trip to the casino. She and her husband were members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Woodland.

Doris is survived by her husband: Charles, Niles, Mich.; three children: Pam (Marc) LaVine, Wyatt, Ind.; Tom (Dennie) Fox, Shavehead Lake, Mich.; Lori (Dan) Roberts, Osceola, Ind.; 11 grandchildren: Traycee, Tara, Brandi, Justin, Sarah, Mary, Jeremy, Evan, Tosha, Samantha and Delaney; four great-grandchildren: Brody, Wyatt, Micah and Brielle; and two brothers: Jim (Nancy) Winger, Warsaw, Ind.; and Frank (Barb) Winger Jr., Osceola.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Dorothy Winger; a son: Scott Allen Fox; and a granddaughter: Trisha Dawn LaVine.

Visitation is from 3 p.m. too 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen, Ind. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Woodland. Pastor Karl Brenner will officiate the service, burial will follow at Bremen Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association or St. Paul Lutheran Church.
