OI612514843_BushObitFranklin A. Bush, 83, of Columbia City, Ind., passed away at 11:39 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014, in Columbia City. Born on March 26, 1931, in Fort Wayne, Ind., he was the son of Roscoe and Hildegarde (Weaver) Bush. 

He graduated from Churubusco High School with the Class of 1949 and went on to receive his Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University in 1958. Franklin earned his Master’s Degree at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Fla., in 1965.

On Sept. 15, 1951, he married Joyce Graham in Hobbs, Ind. Franklin was a commercial real estate broker and was the founder and former owner of Investors’ Realty, Warsaw. He was a life member of Columbia City Elks Lodge, Certified Commercial Investors Member and served as vice President, first vice president and past president of Kosciusko County Board of Realtors. 

Survivors include his wife: Joyce Bush, Columbia City, Ind.; four children: Robert F. (Gail) Bush, Syracuse, Ind.; John B. (Rosemarie) Bush, Flushing, Mich.; Joyce A. Bush and James J. Bush, both of Warsaw, Ind.; a grandson: William B. Bush, Flushing, Mich.; two sisters-in-law: Pauline Spake, Lynn; and Jane Lyon, North Bend, Ore.   

A memorial gathering to celebrate Franklin’s life will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City.
