Bobby R. Vickers Jr., 36, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014, in his residence.
On Sept. 2, 1977, he was born in Warsaw to Bobby R. and Cecilla (Swindle) Vickers Sr. He was united in marriage to Jamie S. Raymer in Warsaw on June 10, 1999, who survives.
A lifetime resident of Warsaw, Bobby graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1997 and then attended Ivy Tech, Warsaw. He worked as a Jailer for Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and then worked as a machinist for Biomet, Warsaw.
Bobby attended Christ’s Covenant Church, Winona Lake and coached Little Tigers and Pee Wee Football. He loved camping, fishing and spending time with his family. He found enjoyment in restoring his 1971 Chevy Chevelle Convertible.
Bobby is survived by his wife: Jamie S. Vickers, Warsaw; three children: Johnathan E. Vickers, James A. Vickers and Susan L. Vickers, all of Warsaw; his parents: Bobby R. and Cecilla Vickers Sr., Warsaw; three sisters: Elizabeth J. Vickers, Wabash, Ind.; Altha C. (Terry) Sullivan, Virginia; and Amanda Rose (Christopher) Clark, Warsaw; his paternal grandparents: Sam and Mable Vickers, Warsaw; his best friend and brother: Travis Fretz, Pierceton, Ind.; his mother and father-in-law: Sue and Mike Raymer, Warsaw; two brothers-in-law: Justin and Robert Raymer; and numerous other family members.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 25, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 26, at Valley Springs Fellowship Church, Warsaw, with Pastor Kent Denlinger officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
