Ella Manns, 66, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 3:05 a.m. Sunday, July 20, 2014, at her residence with her loved ones by her side.
She and her husband, Lawrence Manns, were the owners and operators of Manns Kountry Kitchen Restaurant in Silver Lake, Ind. For more than 20 years she and Lawrence enjoyed serving the community. She greatly appreciated the many customers who not only became friends, but also felt like family.
She enjoyed vacationing in Gatlinburg, Tenn., spending time with her family and friends, and attending services at First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County in Claypool, Ind. She will be great missed by her family and friends.
She was born Feb. 4, 1948, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Polly (Hale) and Harry Prater. On Aug. 26, 1965, she was married to Lawrence Manns, who survives in Warsaw.
Ella is survived by three sons: Kenneth (Mina) Manns, Wabash, Ind.; Bernard (Susan) Manns, Silver Lake, Ind.; Dustin Manns (Chelsie Creekmore), Warsaw; two granddaughters: Ashlie and Marcy Manns; one grandson: Braxton Manns; and her brother: AC Prater, Rochester, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and her sister.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Rd., Warsaw. Her funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 24, at the funeral home and officiated by Pastor Terry Bradford. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Akron Cemetery in Akron, Ind.
