Angel M. Carder, 40, of Elkhart, Ind., and formerly of Syracuse, Ind., passed away at 7:53 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at her home.
She was born June 14, 1974, in Toledo, Ohio, to Benny N. Bethel and Angela T. Carder.
She graduated from West Noble High School in Ligonier, Ind., attended college in California to obtain a medical assistant’s degree, and formerly worked in a cardiologist office. She moved to Elkhart 12 years ago from Toledo and formerly lived in Syracuse, Ind., and California.
She was raised in the Catholic Church and active in Alcoholics Anonymous.
She is survived by her father: Ben Bethel, Toledo, Ohio; two sons: Brian Cooper and Evan Carder, both of Toledo; a sister: Jennifer (fiancé Kent Holden) Wines, Syracuse; and a brother: James Rabara, Athens, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 20, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Memorial services will follow at 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
