OI639002953_HeadshotThomas W. “Tom” Madden, 73, of Leesburg, Ind., passed away at 6 a.m. Sunday, July 13, 2014 a.m. at I.U. Goshen Hospital in Goshen, Ind.

He was born June 28, 1941, in Ligonier, Ind., to Clive P. and Rose (Seprich) Madden.

He attended public schools in Chicago and lived in the Ligonier/Leesburg area for past 35 years after moving here from Chicago. He formerly owned and operated The Keg in Leesburg for 20 years, pulled RV’s for Hoosier Transit in Nappanee for 10 years, worked at Monsanto in Ligonier and Goldblatts in Chicago. 

He is survived by three daughters: Monica (Brian) Marr, Fox Lake, Ill.; Deanna (Roy) Gentile, Ingleside, Ill.; and Melinda Madden, Leesburg, Ind.; and a son: Patrick Thomas Madden, Bridgeview, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mary Lou (Robert) Roberts, Warsaw, Ind.; and Rita Madden, Blue Island, Ill.; and a brother: Richard (Elaine) Madden, Leesburg, Ind. 

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500 North, North Webster, Ind.

Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
